The City of Boulder Colorado is ranked in the top 50 cleanest cities in the United States and has one of the last remaining "Chautauqua Parks," a nationally established parkland in the 1890's. For the winter months Boulder is within driving distance of most major Colorado ski resorts, meaning a day trip is sufficient to get to the resort, ski during the day, and be home by evening time.
In addition to the extensive outdoor life, Boulder is also home to the University of Colorado. Started in the 1870's with the donation of 45 acres of land for the use towards establishing a University. The first year open the University of Colorado had 44 students, 1 professor, and a President. The University has grown since then to an average enrollment of 29,000 students, with numerous degree programs and a variety of courses. If a large University is not what you are looking for, Boulder is also home to a much smaller liberal arts school, Naropa University.
You´d be hard pressed to find a better place to live than Boulder and other Boulder County cities.
