Welcome to northern Colorado.
Larimer County 2,640 square miles and is in the northern central part of Colorado. This includes part of the Continental Divide. The cities that make up Larimer County are Berthoud, Estes Park, Fort Collins, Loveland, Timnath, Wellington and some unincorporated towns scattered about. Fort Collins is the largest of the cities with 118,652 residents. Below is just a taste of what each town offers newcomers to the northern Colorado region.
Berthoud 80513 "The Garden Spot of Colorado" and located on Colorado´s northern Front Range, Berthoud is known for its tree-lined neighborhoods and local commerce. Considered a "bedroom community" in real estate terms, Berthoud has experienced significant growth. There are a number of newer developments DB would be happy to show you.
Estes Park - 80517 is a little over 1.5 hours from Denver International Airport. Surrounded by beautiful lush landscape and the Rocky Mountains, Estes Park is nicknamed "The Gutsiest Little Town in Colorado". So named because of it´s ability to bounce back after a dam burst in 1982. The town re-vamped its downtown area and re-built a resort style community that is flourishing today.
Fort Collins is the largest city in the Larimer County and in northern Colorado. Home to 5 brewing companies including Anheuser-Busch, the city celebrates the brewing industry and is proud of the employment opportunities it has to offer. Fort Collins is named the "Cultural Capital of Colorado" and for good reason. With over 6 live theaters and production companies in the downtown area, Fort Collins can entertain the whole family all year round.
Loveland 80534,80537, 80538 With no less then 3 Golf courses, Loveland is prime real estate just south of Fort Collins Colorado. Population of Loveland is estimated at around 60,000 and the second largest city in the Larimer County area. Loveland also has an airport it shares with Fort Collins called Fort Love Air.
Timnath Colorado, 80547 was established in 1882. In 2005 the tiny town had 230 residents. But its close proximity to larger cities such as Loveland and Fort Collins and the fact that it is only an hour from Denver have got people thinking about the town of Timnath...a lot! Soon to be 27 square miles and a total population of about 30,000 Timnath has skyrocketed into a growing community in Northern Colorado.
Wellington Colorado - 80549 named the "Northern Gateway to Colorado", Wellington is located right off Interstate 25 just a few miles from Bee Lake. Wellington sits at 5,200´ elevation and is smog free. With a population of about 4,000, Wellington is indeed growing.
